I am pleased to inform you that Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning (SCDL) Pune will host the International Council for Open and Distance Education (ICDE) International Conference in Pune, India on 10th and 11th March, 2017 on the theme: “Unleashing the potential of ODL - Reaching the unreached”.
SCDL is a single mode distance learning institution providing quality education to lakhs of students since its inception in 2008. It is located in the city of Pune, nestled in the Sahyadri Hills. Pune is considered the cultural capital of Maharashtra. It is fondly called ‘Oxford of the East’ as it is known for its educational facilities. Symbiosis has always taken a leadership position at National and International level in the space of open and distance learning
The objective of the Conference is to provide a platform for communication between researchers, teachers and practitioners in Open and Distance Learning. The ultimate aim being to provide impetus and provide a common basis for the future of research and action points for enhancement of reach of Open and Distance Learning.
We would be honoured if you could spare your precious time and share your insightful thoughts with the delegates from around the globe through a paper presentation on any topic relevant to any of the sub themes of the Conference. The details of the Subthemes are given in the Conference Flyer attached herewith.
The authors of the shortlisted papers will be invited to submit the full length papers (4000- 5000 words) to Open Praxis, the ICDE Scientific Digital Journal which will proceed to peer-review and publish selected papers.
